I am a creature of habit in every sense of the word. Once I find something I like, I will like it for a long, longggg time before I get sick of it. This is true of my purple cut off Gap shorts that I wore all summer long when I was 12 years old (hehe, remember Emily?), this is true of my years-long obsession with this, and it’s true of my most beloved thing to eat for lunch: a turkey and swiss cheese sandwich.
Recently, I discovered a trick that makes such a difference in taste. After you put the turkey on the bread, add some salt and pepper. That’s it! It’s so simple, but truly makes all the difference in the world.
Aside from salt and pepper, I also add a little bit of mayo to the bread, and some sliced pickles on top of the turkey (and underneath the cheese). And for whatever reason, I find it always tastes a ton better when it’s on a whole wheat ciabatta roll, instead of plain old bread. Yum 🙂
