On a daily basis, I am typically wearing some form of jeans and a t-shirt. Come summertime, I love a good dress, but there is no piece of clothing I cherish more than a beloved white tee. Here are my favorites.
J. Crew Vintage Cotton V-Neck T-Shirt // This is my hold grail t-shirt. I buy it in bulk when it’s on sale, and I have it in just about every iteration – the short sleeve tee, the long sleeve tee (for under sweaters in the fall and winter) and the tank. It’s just so so good. It’s beyond comfortable, has a perfect length and fit (boxy but flattering), and remarkably isn’t see through. Mine are so well loved and worn and washed that they do get tiny holes every now and again, but I wear them anyway and then replace them seasonally. They’re worth it.
Madewell Whisper Cotton V-Neck Cotton Tee // This one has a great length and an ideal boxy fit, and I also love it in some of the colors (I have a hunter green and a light purple). It’s a tiny bit too thick to be perfect for me, but that means it’s not at all see through, which is definitely a plus.
ATM Slub Jersey T-Shirt // I bought this t-shirt at Barneys about five years ago. I have always been a sucker for simple, well-made basics and I saw this super light mint green (almost white) tee hanging against a window and it looked so incredibly soft and well-made and I just knew I had to have it. These tees are pricey but they’re wonderfully oversized and comfortable and look wonderful with a pair of cut-offs. A very worthwhile investment.
P.S. This is the perfect grey tee, and this is the perfect white crewneck tee.
