I have always alternated between drugstore shampoos and conditioners, being of the mindset that shampoo is one of those things that the drugstore brands do just as well as the expensive brands. I would occasionally splurge on a quality hair mask, but that was it. Well, I have had somewhat of a life changing experience after trying the Kerastese Fondant Fluidealiste and Bain Fluidealiste and I am now the biggest believer ever that not all shampoos are created equal.
My hair has luckily always been pretty low maintenance. I rely on a good haircut and very rarely blow dry my hair, so my steps are: shampoo, condition and air dry. (Oh, and I swear by this.) Recently I had my hair cut really short, which feels amazing but since my hair is thick, it has a tendency to get slightly too puffy when it’s freshly washed. We’re currently at my parents house so I used my mom’s shampoo and conditioner and it was so heavenly when I lathered up in the shower, I just knew it was going to make a different with my hair. It smells incredibly fresh and delicious, and does wonders with making thicker hair more manageable and smoother and just better. Tip: make sure you go for the sulfate-free version of the shampoo!
