It’s 2019, Rex has hit double digits (10 months old), Georgie will be four next month and I don’t post to this blog nearly as much as I would like, but it’s a new year, a fresh start, and I’m just going to do my best because raising tiny humans is exhausting.
Starting this year with a super thrilling post 🙂 by talking about a nursing bra that I just discovered that is pure heaven.
Up until a few weeks ago, I was pretty devoted to the Cake Maternity Cotton Candy nursing bra, which I bought in bulk after Georgie was born. I basically lived in them, and when I pulled them out when I was pregnant with Rex and started wearing them again, one by one they slowly fell apart. I had one light pink one left, and then the inner seam started digging in and was so uncomfortable.
I also have a few Medela sleep bras, which are comfortable but not the most supportive, and after several washes they start to get slightly less comfortable – their softness somehow melts away. So I was wearing them when I had to, but wasn’t enjoying the experience.
As the options in my lingerie (can you even call nursing bras lingerie??) drawer dwindled, I panic bought a bra I had in my Amazon cart for months – the Boob Design 24/7 bra. I am in love with it. Truth be told, I am going to be wearing it long after I stop nursing Rex. Boob Design also makes an option with clips called the Fast Food Bra, which is an adorable name and also looks super comfortable. I find the clips to be amazingly helpful during the first few months after baby is born when you’re nursing so frequently, generally staying home or close to home, and wearing comfy clothes around the clock. And then they are sort of unnecessary and become slightly annoying to take off and put back on. Plus they can create a little bulge depending on what type of top you’re wearing.
The 24/7 bra is smooth and seamless and you don’t even know you’re wearing it. It’s perfect.
