The Cain family is going to England! Today we booked our flights to London for December, and I am so excited!!! Georgie will be meeting many of our lovely family (Tom is from England) and our friends. She has proven to be a delightful little traveler so far, so hopefully that holds true with a much longer flight, a mobile baby (she will be 10 months old) and a five hour time change, eeks. Any tips very much welcome!!
London has a special place in my heart. It was such a wonderful adventure living there with Tom and experiencing life in the UK, and I’m so glad I got a chance to do it. We spent three years there before moving back to New York in 2012. Here’s a few pics – we look so young!
One of the best parts about living in England is how easy it is to travel all over Europe and beyond. Some of my favorite trips were…
^Prague!
^Bath!
^Amsterdam!
^Basically the same exact pic as above, but this time in Paris!
^Paris again, after we biked to the top of Montmarte
^Italy!
^The Cotswolds!
^Marrakech!
This trip, we will be in London and Surrey, then Devon for Christmas and Newcastle for New Years. I can’t wait for so many things, like trips to Boots and Marks & Spencer, reading Red Magazine, eating fish & chips and all of the Cadbury and amazing Christmas sweets (Quality Street – YUM) and most importantly, being around family and friends during Georgina’s first Christmas.
^In Devon, five months pregnant with Georgina
^Tower Bridge – my favorite bridge in the world
^Newcastle – where Tom was born!
