Long Beach Island has always held a special place in my heart. I have such happy memories of being there ever since I was a little girl when my grandparents had a house in Harvey Cedars. We would spend the day biking and swimming in the bay and then go to Fantasy Island in the evening to play video games, ride rides and eat fudge.
My parents bought a house in North Beach in the 90’s, and I have cherished every day I get to spend there. The island has such a relaxed, beachy vibe, the seafood is incredible and the beach walks are perfect. I could spend hours and hours staring at the ocean waves from the deck with a pina colada in hand, soaking up the fresh salt air.
We have taken Georgie down the shore twice already, and she seems to love it as much as we do. She relaxes on the deck in her Bjorn bouncer and watches the surfers and stares at the sky. We are heading back for a few weeks in September, and I already can’t wait.
