My oh my the last few weeks have been busy and filled with an intense amount of planning. In a nutshell, we move out of our apartment on Monday (Georgie and I will be heading to our Airbnb on Sunday, since it’s best for her to not be in the apartment on moving day), then head to England and Italy on Tuesday for three weeks, then move into another Airbnb when we get back, then close on our house and move in about a week later. Got all that?! There have been so many moving pieces and we only just got the closing date for our house this week, so that was a huge relief.
I have been making lists upon lists and trying to figure out what to pack for our trip, what to pack for storage and what to leave in our car (things we will need in our Airbnb but not in Europe, like our laundry detergent and Georgie’s high chair). Basically every time I look at a toy or piece of clothing I quickly analyze it in my mind and figure out which list it belongs in and where it will be going. It’s sort of fun to have to be so supremely organized, but also a little bit stressful.
We have been packing up bit by bit over the past week and a half, so we are in a pretty good place, but since we have so much going on over the next few days, I am going to take a little blogging break, and then disconnect as much as possible while we are on vacation. Here’s hoping it all goes smoothly, and I’ll be back on here the end of August.
