On New Years Day we drove north to Rockefeller State Park and walked around a big, beautiful lake. Georgie stopped to pet all of the dogs, climb some hills and investigate the mud puddles. And Tom and I realized we need to invest in a backpack carrier for her – like a proper hiking one where she will sit tall and see out. This in and out of the stroller / Tom’s shoulders / me holding her works fine for little walks around our house but sometimes we just want to go a bit further 🙂

On the way home we decided to get lunch at a diner nearby. We ordered turkey clubs with fries, and won Georgie a big rainbow colored bouncy ball in one of those claw machines. Then we went home and all took big naps. It was a really nice way to ring in the new year. Here’s to a happy & healthy 2017!!
