I know a lot of people that feel so emotional as their babies get older, and wish time would stand still so their kids could be little forever. For me, I love watching Georgie grow and change, and can’t wait for all of the fun milestones to come – like when she starts to talk. There are moments when I wistfully think back to the mega chubby, super snuggly little baby that she was, but I just adore watching her little personality start to shine through.
Georgie is still a champion walker, and sometimes she even starts to break out into a little run. She absolutely adores being chased, and when I walk slowly behind her and say ‘I’m gonna get you’ she starts to giggle like crazy. We usually play this game in the hallway of our apartment building (much more room) – I hope our neighbors don’t mind! Another building favorite of Georgie’s is the elevator. If she’s in her stroller she loves watching the numbers go up and down, and if she’s standing, she bounces up and down like the elevator is a carnival ride.
Sleep-wise, Georgie takes two naps a day – 9am and 1pm – and each nap is usually an hour and a half. She goes to sleep at around 6:30pm and wakes up at around 7am. She still loves croissants and bagels and strawberries and chicken and cheddar cheese and blueberries and broccoli. She is kind of over bananas and oranges at the moment. She loves her milk, and she gets 8oz in the morning, and 8oz in the evening before her bath. We warm it up and she guzzles it down! She also loves brushing her teeth, on her own!
Music class is still one of her favorite activities (current favorite song: the wheels on the bus), as is playing in the park and going out for lunch. Georgie is such a friendly little honey bunch, and always walks up to people to inspect their shoes or watch or handbag 😉 giving them a big smile once they notice her. She is so observant and curious and loves checking out little details of things – like the lighting at a restaurant or the buttons on daddy’s shirt.
Georgie still loves sucking on her two fingers and cuddling with her lovey (I recently bought two more to add to the pack of spares). Her hair has gotten so much longer and blonder but it’s not quite ready for pigtails yet. Soon 🙂
