One of the best parts about spending time at my parents house is how close we are to these beautiful trails. Georgie has long been a fan of the carrier, but now that she is a pro walker, we have changed our system up a little.
The half carrier / half walking routine seems to be a safe bet, where we start the walk with her in the carrier for about 15 minutes, then let her walk and explore for the other 15 minutes, alternating with shoulder rides and holding her hand to play 1, 2, 3 wee which she LOVES. I’m learning that at this age, it’s key to go into certain situations with the right expectations. Georgie isย busy and loves practicing her walking, so sometimes she’s into being in the carrier, and sometimes she isn’t. You just gotta go with it – there is absolutely no point in forcing an almost 14 month old toddler to do something. They will win every time ๐
We still love our Bjorn carrier, but sometimes that flap in front gets in the way and it’s super annoying. I find that I have to hold it down sometimes (like in the pics above) or it’s right in Georgie’s face. I wish it had two snaps to secure it. Anyone have any tips for meย – it’s entirely possible that there is a way to get it to stay down and I just don’t know what it is!

P.S. Georgie is wearing my sister’s outfit from when she was a toddler. It’s a brand called Absorba, and it’s adorable and so well made. It honestly looks like new and it’s like 23 years old and my sister wore both the leggings and the sweatshirt all the time! I just checked out their site and it’s great. Their products are also available on one of my favorite sites, Alex and Alexa.ย I love this romperย (and this one!), this dress and this cardigan – so sweet!
