Like most people who have a baby in Manhattan but aren’t originally from the city, Tom and I are currently plotting our next move. Although we love a lot of things about our current home (our apartment is cozy and has beautiful views, and Georgie gets to see and experience so many different things in this busy city), we do live in a one bedroom, with Georgie’s nursery in our office nook. It works perfectly for now, but she’s in this mini crib, which she will not fit in forever!
Truth be told, I’ve been in a love hate relationship with New York City for awhile now, often finding the noise, intensity and sheer amount of people not as pleasant as I once did. In a lot of ways it’s a great place to be when you have a baby, but I am aching for a little more calm, a proper kitchen, and a backyard for Georgie to play in. I know it probably won’t be happening for awhile, but in the meantime I am having SO MUCH FUN real estate stalking online and on Pinterest, and imagining what our house in the country might be like.
And if we ever move back to England, I would not at all mind living in a house just like this one. A girl can dream…
