Well, I did not mean to take such a break from posting here! We went to Long Beach Island mid-last week for an extra long Memorial Day weekend (we got back home last night) and I brought my computer with the plan of posting fairly regularly, but of course then I got into total vacation mode and that didn’t happen. I should have known that’s how it would go, but I always have the best intentions!!
We had such a great time with my family and while I didn’t do a total social media detox (I should have. Is it making anyone else totally crazy these days?!) I tried to keep my phone tucked away as much as possible. So while I don’t have too many pics, here are a few!
Ignore my claw hand on top of Georgie’s head. It was a little windy and her hat kept blowing off, so I was trying to hold it in place! Clearly Georgie didn’t have an extra hand as she was holding tight to her beloved ‘french sticks’ aka french toast made with mini challah so it’s easily grab-able.
Last summer my dad installed this swing underneath the porch, and it’s been a favorite ever since. It was ours when we were little!
So dark and blurry, but too sweet not to share. Look at that face 🙂
Georgie developed this teenager-like habit on the trip of climbing onto the couch and asking my mom to get her cozy with blankets. Then she would just lay there chatting or playing with a toy. I felt like she grew up so much in the one week we were away!
