Magnetic Cupcake Puzzle // My mom – a pediatrician, mother of four and grandmother of three – always finds the best toys, and this one was no exception! It’s an adorable flip top box with two sections inside. One section has cards with illustrations of yummy cupcakes, and the other is filled with magnetic pieces. You put the pieces on the top flap to create the cupcakes and to be honest, I find this one pretty fun too.
Wooden School Bus // We got this for Georgie on her second birthday, and since then she has played with is just about everyday. It is such a beloved toy! She scoots the bus all around the room and takes out the ‘little girls’ and ‘little boys’ to play with. Now that her imagination is really growing, they will have conversations with each other. She smooshes them right up against each other as they’re talking – it’s hilarious.
Doctor Kit // I bought this for Georgie months ago at one of my favorite toy stores, and she wasn’t that into it until recently, most likely after seeing the Boo Boo Busters Sesame Street episode. She loves pulling this kit out and checking my heartbeat and my ears (don’t know why, but she always checks the ears, and as she does she quietly says ‘ok…ok…’). She introduces herself as ‘Dr. Georgina’ and at the end of the exam she happily tells me everything, ‘sounds great!’
And no list of Georgie’s favorite toys would be complete without a mention of My Little Pony, because Georgie adores these guys so very much. Every morning she asks ‘should we line them all up?’ which is really her way of saying, ‘line them up, mom’ 🙂 so she can count them and admire her collection. She also has, and loves, this little pony bus, which I bought as an airplane treat for our flight to London.
