Georgie has loved bathtime since she was just a few days old (maybe it’s her British heritage). Tom is usually home from work in time to give Georgie her bath, and it’s become such a sweet way to wind down from the day, and a lovely part of her bedtime routine.
Before Georgie’s umbilical cord fell off (no water submersion until it’s off), her baths were taken on a towel on our kitchen counter, fast and furious before she got too cold. Then we started using this sponge in our bathroom sink, which Georgie adored – she was so comfy and cozy in there and loved the water running on her tummy from the tap. We have only just switched her to this tub (we don’t use the sling) in our bathtub, as she started outgrowing the sink.
We use Honest Shampoo & Body Wash which smells delicious and Georgie doesn’t even flinch when a little soap gets into her eyes, and we also love this Munchkin rinse cup for getting the shampoo out, or just for pouring warm water over her chubby little legs.
After her bath, we will give Georgie a massage if she is up for it (sometimes our sweet girl is so ready for sleep that she just wants milk and her crib!) using this calming lotion or just some coconut oil.
Once Georgie is a master at sitting up (and not falling over after a few minutes) we will get a non-slip bottom for our tub so she can splash around in there with some bubble bath and toys.
Also, is there anything cuter than a baby in a hooded bath towel? I love cuddling her when she’s all wrapped up!
^Mom! Stop interrupting my relaxing bathtime with that camera in my face!
