It’s funny how the seemingly random baby milestones are the ones that tug at my heartstrings the most. For example, when Georgina’s bottom teeth popped through I was absolutely obsessed with them. To me, they were the cutest teeth I had ever seen, and they made my sweet little baby seem even more adorable. I couldn’t stop staring at them! Another one that kills me – when she drinks from her straw cup. It’s just SO CUTE and makes her look like such a big girl in the most delicious way.
So, now that Georgina is outgrowing her infant car seat (we have and love this one, in charcoal) and is moving into a convertible carseat, I am feeling crazy emotional about it. Not in a bad way, but in a wow-my-baby-isn’t-such-a-baby-anymore way. I’ve been doing tons of research about which one to get, but it’s crazy overwhelming how many types are out there (this goes for all baby gear, it’s nuts!) and since this is the seat Georgie will be in for the next 5+ years, I want to make sure we get the right one for her and that she’s comfortable it for years to come.
We are going to work with The Car Seat Lady again (she helped with Georgie’s infant car seat when I was eight months pregnant) – she’s a pediatrician and car seat expert and works with parents to find the best seat for their baby, then shows you how to properly install it and gives you wonderful tips. (She’s the one who told me that this umbrella stroller is the best to get given all of our trips to England because it fits in the overhead bin on the plane, so you don’t have to wait to get it back until you’re through customs.)
I love looking at these pictures of Georgina in her carseat – she’s so tiny and sweet!
^Oh that hand on the knee. Be still my heart!!!
