I spent the first half of the week with some pre-Thanksgiving jitters, as we are hosting at our house this year. It will be a very mini one, just with us and my sister, as the rest of my family will be in Florida.
We decided not to make the trip this year because of Zika, and my sister is in a PhD program in New Jersey and her class schedule doesn’t allow her much time to travel down south. I’m excited to be hosting for the first time and to be cozy in our new house, but emotional that my family won’t all be together, and also nervous because my mom is such a wonderful cook!! I must have made five plus phone calls to her asking for various recipes and questions on specific ingredients and cookware. I now have my grocery list in place and a schedule for next week all set up, so the anxiety has definitely gone down, and I’m excited for family and food 🙂
This weekend we have some friends coming into town (trying this place for brunch) and I’m going to be finalizing some Thanksgiving shopping and prepping.
Have a wonderful weekend!!
A Few Things…
One of my all-time favorite blogs has just been re-branded and I just love it!!
What a beautiful Thanksgiving table.
Is this real life? I need it in my belly.
Love love love these earrings!
Have you ever stayed in an Airbnb? We love it (it’s the best when traveling with kids) and I am excited about their new experiences offering.
This super cozy coat of my dreams is on major sale (use code YAY).
I got this drugstore face oil yesterday and I’m in love. It makes my skin feel SO SOFT.
I also got this new bath wash for Georgie and I almost fell over when I opened it, it smells so delicious – like cherries and heaven.
These bracelets are too cute, and a great gift idea for a new mom!
Ooo, I like these sunglasses. And they’re $12. (I like the clear best.)
A great hostess or holiday gift.
