As I write this, it’s 2:18 pm and I’m snacking on my current favorites while Georgina takes her afternoon nap. Today has been such a wonderful New York City day so far, spent with such incredible friends that I had to take some time to document it so that I can always remember. Sometimes this city is loud and rude and almost too much to take, but sometimes it’s magic.
We had some of Georgie’s best friends over and they had endless fun passing tupperware back and forth from the kitchen before we headed out to lunch and then Appleseeds, the indoor playground that we are members of here in the city.
Like mother, like daughter. My little honey loves her ranch dressing! Thank you, Hill Country Chicken, for having the yummiest chicken sandwiches, the BEST fountain sodas and the sweetest most accommodating staff who gave us endless amounts of free pickles.
Our Appleseeds membership has been the best monthly investment. The weather in New York can be all over the place, especially lately, and it’s so great to have a big, fun indoor space for Georgie to play and be around other kiddos.
Georgie was so content and happy (and deliciously chubby) when we got home, and I just savored the feeling of such a fun morning. Sometimes babies can be tricky and this city can be rough, but sometimes it all goes smoothly. I feel so thankful for the people that I’ve met since becoming a mother, and for the friends that Georgie has and just for days like today where we don’t do anything particularly special, but it’s perfect and I’ll remember it always.
