Here are a few (all good for winter!) things I’m into these days:
Weleda Skin Food // There’s this great little local pharmacy on Main Street that I love. It’s tiny but so well stocked with the best products, including an entire section of toys, complete with a table full of crayons and paper for coloring. I was picking up a few things the other day and noticed the tubes of Skin Food which I had used years ago and then somehow completely forgot about how much I adored it! It’s really just so good in the winter because it’s crazy thick and hydrating. I use it on my hands a few times a day, and sometimes slather a little bit on my face before bed.
Dan Rather // I have a lot of anxiety these days centered around the divisive state of our country and government, and the complete lack of clarity and certainty about what the next four years will bring. I often find that spending time reading articles and browsing social media intensifies the anxiety – some news outlets are just too one sided and some people spout such negative and depressing personal opinions. One place that I have loved turning to is Dan Rather’s Facebook page. He is intelligent and informed and reports wisely and calmly. He shares things that are important to be shared, in a way that’s easy to digest and never over the top.
Kinetic Sand // The weather is getting crazy cold, and we’ve had a ton of rain lately, so I am always trying to expand on the fun things we can do at home. The other day we built blanket forts and brought a flashlight and a ton of books in, and yesterday I bought Georgie kinetic sand. It blows my mind because it looks and feels like sand, but it’s softer plus it’s NOT MESSY. And it comes with a ton of castle molds and rolling pins and fun things. Also how cute is the ice cream set? Georgie is definitely still a little too young for this, but in a year or so I think she will love it.
