Maybe this is one of those things that is so simple, everyone already knows it, but I just learned this lovely little trick and it’s good so I figured I would share!
I’m low maintenance with my hair – I rely on a good cut, color and shampoo & conditioner, and have never been the type to spend time blow drying my hair. But sometimes on the first day I wash my hair, it’s a bit too puffy / frizzy. The other morning after I showered and washed my hair (I wash my hair two times per week), I did a loose-ish, low braid, tied it with an elastic and left it in for about two hours. Overnight probably would have been best.
When I took the braid out, my hair was almost dry, smooth on top and had the best wave on the bottom. It wasn’t as perfect as a blow dry and then a curling iron, but I was pretty impressed.
^Don’t mind the un-makeuped under eye circles! That’s what I get for a post-midnight night out on Monday (Bruce Springsteen concert, so worth it) and staying up late nights in a row to read this delightful gem.
