Georgie is halfway through her 11th month, but between getting back from three weeks abroad and being so sick, this post is slightly delayed. Better late then never should be my motto around here!
So far, month 11 has been pretty fun. Georgie is not only pulling up to stand, but she is able to get herself into a standing position on her own from sitting down. Once she’s up, she likes to dance around and wave her arms and generally be very cute. She has also taken a few teeny tiny steps (!!) which makes me think walking may be happening in the next few weeks.
Georgie likes to get into anything and everything, and now that she is so stable on her feet (and a little bit taller) she can stand on her tippy toes to reach the tops of certain tables and pull things down. Needless to say, our baby proofing has been kicked up a notch. Our girl still loves to eat, with oranges and mangoes and bagels and cheddar cheese and broccoli topping the list as some of her current favorites. She is saying ‘mama’ and ‘daddy’ and ‘doggy’ and gets SO EXCITED when we see dogs out on our walks or in our apartment building. She waves at them and wiggles and sweetly pets them when the owners let her. These days, she continuously says ‘doggy, doggy, doggy’ when we are out on our walks.
In terms of toys, Georgina still loves her crinkly books, learning walker and her new absolute favorite toy – our floss. For weeks she would light up watching us floss and brush our teeth, so one day I handed her our floss and she was the happiest baby in New York. She now takes it with her everywhere, including keeping it in her hand as she crawls around, which makes an adorable noise on our hardwood floor, like she’s an old lady that needs her floss to help her get around, hehe. I can’t wait for more of these cute little quirks to shine through as Georgie gets older. I love her so much!
