Of course there is no reason to shop for school supplies for myself these days, but there is something about fall setting in that makes me crave the back-to-school tradition. So I usually buy myself a fresh new notebook and some pens and get really excited about being perfectly organized, which of course I’m not, but I do try!
My favorite recent find has been this notebook, which I use for to do lists and packing lists. Most notebooks these days are mini, so I love that this one is full size, and simple. Each page is fully lined and it has two folders in the front and that’s it. It’s great!
On a recent Target trip I picked up this weekly / monthly planner which I have been using to keep track of Georgie’s school schedule and her classes (this fall she is doing music class and ballet class). I bought a brand new pencil to use specifically for this planner only, since I anticipate things getting moved around or me just writing them on the wrong day, week or even month 😉 So far I’m really enjoying having a paper version of what’s happening, in addition to my iCloud calendar that I can’t live without.
Months ago I bought this planner which I love for all of it’s fancy bells and whistles. It’s thick, it has colorful tabs and pages for everything – one day per page, a spot for to do lists, meal planning and notes. My initial plan was so get super organized with the blog and plan an editorial calendar way in advance, in addition to my weekly meal planning. Then, I got pregnant and couldn’t even wash my face at night before bedtime (which was at 7pm) so all grand organizational plans went out the window. But this fall I may just break it back out!! Super-organized-me, here I come!
P.S. This is my favorite notepad for writing grocery shopping lists. I just ran out so need to get myself a new one! I am also eyeing this adorable pad for little notes (this one too!), and I love the idea of a big desk calendar, but I’m not sure how much I would actually use it?!
