Georgie has loved her banana toothbrush for months, and while its purpose is to get babies ready for teeth brushing, I’m pretty sure she has mainly enjoyed just chewing on it. Now that she has four (amazingly adorable) teeth, and more just about to pop through, I figured it was time for a real toothbrush and toothpaste.
I did a bunch of research on what kind of toothpaste to get for Georgie, and ultimately decided on Jack n’ Jill, which is an all natural toothpaste that scored well on EWG. Since toddlers end up swallowing all of the toothpaste you put on the brush, it was important to me to get one with ingredients I felt good about. (It’s also the reason you need to get a fluoride-free toothpaste!)
We brush Georgie’s teeth two times a day, in the morning after breakfast and in the evening in the bath. She’s good at letting me get in there for a few seconds, and hopefully it’s a routine that she will grow to enjoy. If not, I’ve heard this video works like a charm!
